W-O-W! I simply can’t pass up the opportunity to comment on this stunning cathedral length veil. The grandeur of the church space, the white rose petal detailing … you just don’t see a custom veil like this very often.
NOTE TO BRIDESMAIDS: it is your duty to ensure the bride looks as amazing as the photo below with the train and veil!! After the bride walks down the aisle, make sure you evenly spread out the veil & train.
(Wedding Planner Remarks) “Living next to the county, Rutland seemed the idyllic setting for a romantic photo-shoot and its most famous landmark Normanton Church on Rutland Water was the perfect canvas. There is something so comforting and reassuring about working by the water, I adore it. With a fabulous entourage of local suppliers bringing the photo shoot together I am totally delighted with the results!”
The History
“With its lower half submerged in water during the construction of Rutland Water reservoir in the 1970’s, Normanton Church is an iconic and rare Wedding location popular with couples across the UK and abroad.”
The Setting
“The calming & mystical water filled backdrop, along with the striking and historic interior the Church, lent itself perfectly to the nautical elegance & chic theme of the shoot.”
The Theme
“To enhance the neutral décor and stunning surroundings we added simple yet refined styling, working with navy, blush and silver accents throughout.
“With navy continuing to be hot on trend in 2017, the aim was to highlight how different tones and shades could be incorporated and exaggerated to create a stunning yet unique style.”
The Styling
“We developed the style by juxtaposing tradition with quirky trends through the use of slick stationery & tableware, an antique dresser, coloured & sparkly linens and a traditional elegant three-tiered cake.
“Soft and romantic flowers added to the hand created headpieces. 1920’s inspired hair & make-up. Gloriously refined suits and one-off designer dresses with such an impressive trail led to the romantic dome altar of Normanton Church.
“With the sun beaming and the reservoir mystically still, the ever so talented photographers were able to capture some incredible outdoor shots, allowing readers to take in the entire beauty of Rutland Water, one of the most romantic locations I’ve had the pleasure of working at.
“Such heartfelt thanks and credit go to all the suppliers that helped me put this shoot together. The site visits, the meetings, the evenings planning & creating, it has been such a blast & I can’t wait to get started on the next now!”
