Photographer’s Comments: “If there’s one thing I love about being a wedding photographer, it’s the opportunities I’ve had to be able to travel the world, explore places I’ve never been, and of course dine at all the local eateries.

“So when I got the email from Aleen and Rich asking if I would fly out to San Diego for their engagement session and then travel out to the luscious, green, rolling hills of Missouri to photograph their Chaumette Vineyards and Winery wedding, my heart seriously skipped a beat. Not only are these two sweethearts with hearts of gold, but they also love dogs, the outdoors, and are total foodies! So it was a perfect storm to become one of my favorite weddings to date!

“Aleen always dreamed of getting married at a barn so these wine aficionados quickly fell in love with their wedding venue in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri.

“It was a beautiful, sunny day and I loved being able to spend time taking photos all around the vineyard. There were lots of sweet, tender moments, from when they spoke their own written vows at the ceremony to when I photographed their husband and wife pictures, soaking up every last bit of sunlight.

“Now let’s talk about these gorgeous wedding colors! She chose burgundy with pops of peach, cream, and blush, which complimented the location perfectly.

“Inside the barn, their reception was decorated of rustic wood decor with some chic accents of white lanterns and soft florals. And for when the night started to cool down, they treated their guests to a s’mores bar out by the fire pit, before dancing the night away all the way to their bubble-filled exit!”
