Wedding Story
Greg returned from overseas and decided to visit the office after being away. He was delighted to meet a new face. A beautiful face he hadn’t yet seen… Amanda’s face. While there was an initial attraction, Greg kept his work face on and weeks and months passed. The two would interact often and the more it happened, the more Greg enjoyed their time together.
Through small talk, Greg found out that Amanda initially had a boyfriend, was moving into a new apartment, had a Dad in Chicago, and more. Later on the conversations would shift as Amanda shared about taking trips to the beach and (cough, cough) being single. The pair shared conflicting and sometimes unpredictable schedules, so Greg was never sure when and if he would see Amanda. Discussing this with friends, he made the decision that the next time he saw her, he would invite her to happy hour.
AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT…
The next day Greg went into the office, and Amanda wasn’t in. The day dragged on with frequent bathroom breaks to assure they could “run into one another” if she was on site. Then, it happened! A conversation caught fire and before the end of it, the two had made plans to spend the following Saturday out on the boat.
Their first date consisted of a boat ride, anchoring on a small island, and taking a long walk filled with laughter. Greg knew in that very moment that she would be the future Mrs. Will. Just like at work, spending time together felt fun and came easily. The relationship began right then and there.
FLASH FORWARD!
Summer was flying by. Greg and Amanda were about to celebrate July 4th, and friends were gathering for festivities. Greg made plans to take Amanda to hang out with a group over drinks. To her surprise, there were no friends on board the boat. The boat, I might remind you, where it all began.
Nestled in the sunset, the two reflected on the days that had passed. Greg slyly slipped down on his knee and proposed. Amanda, in her excitement barely noticed the ring at first-but it didn’t stop her from screaming, “YES!” Within the hour, the weather began to shift and the skies opened up… just in time for Greg and Amanda to slip under the dock, cuddle, and watch their first thunderstorm as an engaged couple.
“I DO” AND “I DO, TOO!”
The weather was perfect for a Fall wedding. Amanda arrived with her bridesmaids, and Greg with his groomsmen, to the gorgeous barn venue at Ostertag Vistas. Surrounded by an intimate group of their closest friends and family, the pair exchanged vows and rings in front of a small rustic cottage. Following the ceremony, guests met inside the barn for a full reception. With delicious food, an open bar, and poppin’ music… it was a thrill of an evening.
