To end this week we thought we would share with you a soft and cozy engagement session. The bride-to-be is wearing her grandmothers pink wedding dress–which is GORGEOUS! Joleen Willis Photography was behind the lens to capture Annie and Ryan.
This is how Annie and Ryan got together from Annie: “We met at our local Border’s bookstore in the Seattle’s Best Cafe. I was the Barista behind the counter, making coffee and he was the regular customer that ordered nothing more than two shots of espresso in a for here cup. As I poured his drink, we would talk about each other’s day, interests, and goals in life. He was a writer, I was a teacher-in-training. These discussions went on for days at a time, we would pick up right where we left off the next day.
One day, however, something had changed. This young man that had been discussing these things with me shyly looked around and basically asked if I was seeing anyone. I sadly was in a sticky situation and therefore told him that I was “emotionally involved” with someone else…but did this stop Ryan? Oh heavens no!
The next day, he put a plan into action: His friend actually called and needed some help; however, this friend lived in Monterey, so in order to buy time to act, he ordered 16 shots of espresso!!! 16! I laughed and told him that if he had a heart attack, I would not be liable for damages. As the shots poured, he placed a note in my tip jar. He thanked me for the drink and went on his merry way…that night, I found a piece of paper that read: “Tip for today, you really need to get to know me” with his phone number attached to it…I knew right away who had dropped that note in my jar.”
