Silver and Sangria Wedding in St Paul

Photographer’s Comments: “Ashley and Tom said ‘I do’ at A’BULAE in downtown Saint Paul! This couple toured ten wedding venues, but knew there was no venue that would top A’BULAE. They loved the big, open dance floor and they knew their sangria and silver color palette would fit the room perfectly. A special moment on their wedding day was Tom’s gift to Ashley. He got her a gorgeous necklace. During the first look, Ashley didn’t wear a necklace, and after seeing her, Tom smiled and said, “My gift is going to match your dress perfectly!” And he was right! The necklace was a perfect fit with Ashley’s wedding gown. Ask for the Moon Events helped plan their big day and everything came together beautifully! These two have been together for four years and engaged for two years so their families and friends couldn’t wait for the big day!

“Ashley and Tom first met during their freshmen year of college at University of Wisconsin: Eau Claire. She was part of Delta Zeta and he was in Delta Sigma Phi. The sororities and fraternities were helping an all-night Relay for Life event. At the event, attendees were encourage to walk around the track in support of a love one that was battling cancer. They walked around the track together and found out they had a lot in common. They hung out all night and have been inseparable ever since.

“During the summer of 2016, Ashley and Tom did a weekend trip in Chicago. They went to the Planetarium and Ashley noticed that Tom was acting funny during the constellation show. One of the couple’s favorite TV shows is Friends and there is an episode where Ross explains how he would propose to Rachel and he said he would bring her to the planetarium where they had their first date. So, Ashley jokingly said, ‘One day, you should propose to me like the episode of Friends inside the planetarium!’

“Well, little did Ashley know that Tom was planning to propose that day. They went outside after the show and he got down on one knee! She said yes!”
