Wedding Story

We’ve been eagerly following Jodi Miller’s blog and always enjoy it when she posts about her wedding plans, so we were super excited to see pictures of her bridal shower! There are so many creative ideas and of course, the styling is lovely. Jodi’s mother and sister planned the shower to reflect the style of Jodi’s wedding, so it’s not surprising that many of the details would work beautifully in a wedding as well.

Paper hearts hung from the trees with twine and burlap was used as tablecloths.

The china (which will also be used in Jodi’s wedding) was gathered from sources like Goodwill, Etsy, Ebay, and antique stores. The napkins were handmade by Jodi and her sister-in-law and will also be used in the wedding. And how much do you LOVE that mason jar placecard?

All the furniture used in the shower are pieces that Jodi and Kurt have bought from auctions to use in their wedding and their home. For example, they got this dresser for $5 and added the paint and the knobs themselves. We have to admit we’re a little jealous…what an amazing find!

We love these chalkboard signs that Jodi and Kurt made themselves. The window pane and frame are from an auction too!

Jodi’s fiance Kurt made the tarts. Are you impressed yet? These two can do everything, right?

Jodi got lots of cute gifts from Anthropologie. Love these dishcloths!

What a sweet bridal shower! Thanks Jodi for letting us share your photos…it looks like an amazing time was had by all.
