Wedding Story
Photographer’s Remarks: “Rachael and Michael, the lovely couple, had their first wedding anniversary the week of this inspiration shoot, which made it extra fun. Rachael wears her own wedding dress, an art deco patterned gown by Watters which she purchased at BHLDN.
“We loved collaborating with fantastic local creatives to design an organic, soulful look with bohemian and industrial influences. We were especially inspired by natural textures: the raw edges of handmade paper, woven linen napkins, smooth ceramic plates, natural wood tables, marble trays, shiny rose gold flatware, soft plumosa ferns and the lace of Rachael’s dress.
“Anew, the rooftop venue, not only has gorgeous views of Midtown St. Louis, but all profit goes to the local chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
“Wildflowers designed the greenery wreaths, lush table runners, birch arbor, bouquet and flower crown. The Lace Cake provided the graceful tiered cake which was decorated by Wildflowers with plumosa fern. The calligraphy, including the romantic invitation suite, handmade scrolls and fabric wrap were made by On Three Designs. The scrolls spell out a quote from Emily Brontë:
Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.
“Rachael’s natural look was by Emily Miller Makeup & Hair. The organic-meets-urban design and styling were by Flourish Events. The delicious chocolate truffles were from The Chocolate Line, a shop in Bruges.”
