Photographer Comments: “Elizabeth and Brandon had originally planned a huge Long Island wedding. It was very overwhelming, and they decided they would rather have an amazing experience in one of the most beautiful places in the world, and make a vacation out of it! They started planning their destination wedding to CocoCay Beach in the Bahamas!
“Unfortunately, it was hurricane season and the weather was uncertain, so they had to plan an indoor ceremony. However, that did not change the fact that we would be going onto the island for their wedding party and wedding portraits. The weather was amazing and we could not have asked for a more beautiful day.
“As far as planning, Elizabeth is very detailed and super organized. She designed and created the save the dates (which were complete passports) with all of the information her guests could possibly need, the invitation suite to resemble a cruise ship ticket. She even brought extra ribbon, stickers, stamps and a net for the details. She was basically a photographers dream!
“In addition, she had small touches that were near and dear to her heart, like her fathers photo on a ribbon to tie to her bouquet, and a handful of his lure’s, as he was a fisherman. These things kept him close, even though he wasn’t able to be by her side as she walked down the aisle.
“As far as vendors go, the cruise ship basically handled it all! From hair to flowers and cake and beyond.
“Elizabeth is loves her Nike sneakers, so her wedding day would not be complete had she and Brandon not worn their favorite brand new kicks. All laughter aside, they were comfortable on their big day!
“Oh, and let’s talk about that cake! Elizabeth and Brandon wanted something special, something unique. They found a cake on Pinterest and asked the cruise ship coordinator if it was possible for them to make it for them. After all, it IS their big day!
“The chef said yes, and they were able to have their unique wedding cake — a S’mores Cake!
“During their ceremony, they had a locket with keys. They locked it, and on their last day on the ship, they threw the keys into the ocean.”
