Wedding Story
Today we are whisked away to one of my favorite cities in the world: Florence Italy. With a bride who has a taste for the finer things in life, she achieved this beautiful wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel in Florence that is fit for royalty.
Comments from the bride: “The inspiration for our wedding day was to create an elegant and aristocratic atmosphere in Florence. The main colors we wanted were ivory, gold and pale pink. We handcraft a number of the wedding’s details, including the invitations, personalized bibs for the babies, welcome bags and a special wedding newspaper.”
“On a sunny day in Florence, we exchanged our rings and vows at San Remigio church. Roberto arrived first accompanied by his mother, in a classic and tailor made suit by Eddy Monetti. Roberto also wore gifts from Fabiana’s parents: a pair of silver cufflinks by Gucci and a classic Baume & Mercier watch.”
The eyes of the family and friends were on the sophisticated bride, who walked to the church along the picturesque streets with her father and mother. She wore a timeless Alençon lace gown with petal sleeves, a gorgeous train and three-metre cathedral veil. The iconic number, designed for the bride by Atelier Aimee, was accessorized with a glamorous Dolce & Gabbana sash belt and satin Jimmy Choo heels. The bride was inspired by the “Gibson Girls” style and chose to have her hair in two demi- chignons with romantic soft curls to frame her face. To complete the posh outfit, the bride wore a Miu Miu brooch on the waist and a pair of pearl earrings, given to her by her mother in law.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds invited family and friends at the regal and elegant Four Seasons Hotel in Florence.
The guests had a pre-dinner party in the beautiful renaissance garden around the hotel and they were delighted by live music and a cocktail buffet. After some drinks, the couple and the guests were ushered into the frescoed ballroom of the Gherardesca Palace for a lavish dinner and a dance party.
The ballroom was transformed as an aristocratic mansion with crystal chandeliers, carpets, porcelains and silver tableware.
An imperial table was covered with ivory damask tablecloths and enriched with Laduree placeholders, candles, golden candelabra and large centrepieces overflowing with dahlias, English roses and fruits.
At the end of the party the couple offered a typical ‘Confettata’ and gave to all the guests a precious caudeaux de mariage by Conti Confetterie and Richard Ginori.
