Wedding Story
Photographer’s Comments: “I cannot begin to describe this wedding without first mentioning one of the sweetest details. Hannah’s sister presented her with a special piece of jewelry on the eve of her wedding. The gold necklace with the handwritten words “Love You” brought tears to everyone’s eyes. The handwriting belonged to Hannah’s deceased mother. And, Hannah proudly wore it with her delicate reception dress.
“Hannah and her girls started out at The Birchwood Inn with all her gorgeous details! Her ivory jeweled shoes and her pearls screamed class and elegance. All the while, the mint bridesmaids dresses and the floral watercolor invitations really set a fun tone for the day! Oh, and is it really a wedding day without floral robes and fun confetti shots!?!
“Hannah and Bob’s wedding party was made up of their family and closest friends. But, their favorite attendant was their 2 year old son, Jack (aka: the best man!). Jack made sure to show off his awesome dances moves at the reception!”
Bridal Q & A
Q: Tell us about your wedding!
“I wanted my wedding to have a spring feel to it so I chose mint and peach as my two main colors, and added a rustic feel to it using wood centerpieces, and designs.”
Q: Let’s talk wedding decor
“As mentioned before, I had a rustic theme to my wedding. I used mason jars and wood for my centerpieces, which were both DIY.”
Q: What were the florals like in your wedding?
“Such as my wedding being light and airy, I also wanted to use an array of spring floral. Overall, they were my favorite touch in the wedding.”
Q: Did you personalize the day in any way?
“I had my own photo booth which was DIY by using a curtain as my backdrop, and provided cameras/props for the guests to use.
Q: Let’s talk fashion
“I searched Pinterest for my initial ‘look’ then went to David’s Bridal to find my dresses. I had my mother in laws pearls for my ‘something borrowed’. Also ordered my shoes off of eBay!”
Q: How did you meet?
“Bob and I met on an online dating website, but soon found out we had a ton of mutual friends, and grew up in the same area.
“Our proposal wasn’t as traditional as most because we had already been together for quite some time, and had a child together. He had been looking for the perfect ring. We were sitting on the couch watching one of our favorite programs, and just asked out of the blue ‘Can I ask you something?’ Of course I said yes…thinking it was going to be nothing. Then he asked the big question and showed me the antique Tacori ring.”
Q: What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?
“My most anticipated moment was our first look. This was by far my favorite moment of the day because it gave us a few minutes to share something so personal between just the two of us, and our son before the hustle of the day.”
Q: Do you have any advice to share with other couples planning their day?
“Do not stress! It will all fall together as it is meant to be. The whole purpose of the day is to join together as one. That WILL happen so anything else, whether planned or not, will fall into place.”
