Wedding Story
Photographer’s Comments: “Julia is a graphic designer so she ended up making her own table settings and all the numbers and graphics. There are a lot of thoughtful play on words with the “Donut” theme through out their day!”
Bridal Q & A
How did you both meet?
“We met in college via mutual friends. They had tried setting us up once and neither of us was interested. Then about a year later, Tony asked my best friend to ask me out for him. I guess the rest is history!”
Was there anything special about the proposal?
“Haha! We were actually getting ready to celebrate our six year anniversary. I remember getting ready for dinner and I could hear Tony pacing around outside and putting all this different music on. I didn’t really think anything of it until I came out of the bathroom and he was just standing right next to the washing machine.
“It all happened so fast, before I knew it, he was on one knee – still in front of the washing machine – and asking me to marry him. He said some really lovely things and I wish I could remember exactly, but when I think back all I can picture is the washing machine and the fact that are dog was standing inches behind him looking pissed that she wasn’t getting attention. Of course I said yes!”
What are your favorite things to do together?
“We do a lot of things together. Probably the biggest is that we are both group fitness instructors and we teach a class together every Sunday. It’s so fun to share that time with each other and with the members, we’ve made some great friends through that class.
“Now that I think about it, a lot of activities we do together revolve around the gym, ha. As you know, we have a crazy dog, Luna, who really is our baby. We love spending time with her whether at the park or hiking.”
Tell me more about your wedding!
“The details of our wedding are still very preliminary, but I’m going for a rustic, romantic and whimsical feel. As far as colors, I’ve chosen a very nude/neutral palette; light creams, tans and the palest blush, with some touches of gold and burlap. I also want LOTS of twinkle lights!”
