Wedding Story
Photographer’s Comments: “Kate & Ian planned the perfect Maine wedding at the Viewpoint Hotel in York, Maine. Family & friends were wowed by spectacular views of the Maine coast and Nubble Light in the distance as they arrived to celebrate the union of this beautiful couple.
“Kate is a flower biologist so it seems fitting that every gorgeous summer flower you can imagine was in her bouquet and centerpieces created by Lynn Curcio of F as in Flowers. A little inside story which I always love… Ian’s dad surprised Kate the night of the rehearsal dinner with a flower he had specially grown just for her. A local Maine flower farm grew this insanely gorgeous flower named “Farewell To Spring” that is indigenous to the San Francisco Bay area. So cool right?!! These bright pops of color were truly magnificent and added another level of sophistication to this beautifully designed York Maine wedding. Oh and did I mention the paper crane chandelier was amazing! The chandelier consisting of 1000 paper cranes is a symbol of long life, happiness & good health. Those who make 1000 paper cranes show extreme patience, fortitude & commitment…all important qualities of a wonderful marriage! So many thoughtful details went into Kate & Ian’s wedding day.
“My tears started very early in the day when Kate’s sister Emily walked her out for the first look. This was such a special moment and really speaks volumes to their special bond. Ian waited for Kate down on the lower patio of the Viewpoint property and these are always some of my favorite wedding photos. No coaching, no posing, 100% pure love and connection.”
