Rustic Romantic Barn Wedding, NJ

Details of the day “When Kris and I began planning our wedding, we knew we wanted something different from the typical ballroom as our venue. “While we searched online for places, we ended up sending each other the link for The Loft at Jack’s Barn — meant to be or what?! Neither of us had heard of it before but the pictures on their website were incredible. “Within the week, we made an appointment to go to the venue, and boy, was it love at first sight! Since it was the very first venue we saw, we decided it would be best to visit a few more that weekend just to make sure. Needless to say, nothing measured up. “On May 6, 2018, Kris and I had the most beautiful wedding at Jack’s Barn in Oxford, NJ. All the details were burlap and lace, including my dress. We added personal touches to our decor by adding pictures documenting our relationship over the years, along with pictures of our parents on their wedding day. My amazing sister-in-law completed the look with garland and white roses as our centerpieces. “We began the day by sharing our own vows with my brother as our officiant, and finished the night dancing the night away with our most loved family and friends. It was romantic, fun, and perfectly us.”   Your favorite part of your wedding day? “I loved our first look. There is nothing quite like the excitement of seeing your better half all dressed up…especially in your wedding day. He’s such a stud. “Another favorite part was once the DJ threw on some Polish music. The energy, smiles, laughing…it was all just so amazing.”   One word to describe your wedding? “Us”. “Kris and I made sure that our day was truly a reflection of us – our love for each other as well as for our families.”   If you could change one thing about your wedding what would it be? “One thing I wish I could’ve done was sllllooooowwww down time! Everyone always says that it goes by so fast, and boy are they right! The night was a blur….but that’s why you pick the best photographer to make sure everything moment is captured and can be relived each time you flip through the pictures.   Any advice for other brides? “Take a moment to sit back and take in the moment. After Kris and I ate dinner (and yes, you should also make sure you sit and eat!), we just sat back and soaked it all in together. “Planning takes so much time, and the actual day can get so hectic. Take the time to breathe, hold hands, and look at all the love around you.”
