Cameron and Olivia’s wedding at Starlight Meadow in Burlington, North Carolina was absolutely gorgeous! There were so many beautiful rustic details, and such sweet friends and family surrounding them with love!
“The theme was rustic/contemporary. We incorporated a lot of decorations that we already had and went for a more simplistic theme, that was also delightful. If was definitely more of a laid back and friendly atmosphere.”
“The bridesmaids each picked out their own peach colored dress and shoes. Having each shade of peach match was not a large concern for me. Alter’d State, Jcpenny, and Anne Taylor are were a few of the dresses came from.”
“For the bridesmaids bouquet we had baby’s breath and the bridal bouquet was peach colored garden roses and baby’s breath with dusty miller around the outside, the center pieces were white stock, and downs the aisles we had baby’s breath.”
“The groom’s suit was Jcrew and his shoes were Cole Haan.”
“The groomsmen wore khaki colored chinos with white button ups, navy blue ties, and brown shoes and belts.”
“For the processional, we had a friend play the acoustic guitar, the brides entrance was the intro of “Treasure” by David Ollinger. For communion we had friends play/sing “Glory to the Righteous One” by Caleb Andrews and for the recessional we had a song by Mark Mathis.”
“The bride’s wedding dress was purchased from an Etsy shop. The bride did her own makeup with help from the bridesmaids. The bride chose to wear flat sandals ( purchased from Jcpenny) due to the terrain of the outdoor venue. The sandals were gold and sparkly.”
“The highlights from the ceremony were that we were surrounded by loved one, making a covenant to God and becoming one. From the reception, we had the absolute best bridal party, that burned up the dance floor with our fantastic DJ!”
“For the wedding favors we had a trail mix bar with jars of different kinds of nuts and candies with baggies people could put it in. We purchased everything at the grocery store. For our guest book, we bought a burlap journal from Hobby Lobby.”
“The groomsmen were gifted Gurkha cigars and copious amounts of ammunition for the bachelor party.”
“The best advice we received was to delegate, delegate, delegate. We tasked out jobs to many of our loved ones that were willing, without micro-managing them. Another piece of advice that was helpful, was for us to remember that we are really the only ones who will remember the day and to not do things to please people or for the sake of tradition. At the end of the day, being married is more important than the wedding itself.”
“For the first night after the wedding, we stayed at the renowned Proximity Hotel in Greensboro North Carolina. The next day we made our way towards a private cabin in the beautiful Appalachian mountains, just north of blowing rock, North Carolina.”
