Wedding Story
This wedding screams fall to me, mostly because of the delicious apple pies on the rustic dessert table! The barn setting is a perfect location for this rustic wedding and it was lit up beautifully.
Here is what their photographer had to say:
“Ethan & Angela’s wedding inspiration came from wanting their guests to be comfortable and for the whole experience to feel intimate, with a touch celebration and joy! They also wanted to have decorations that they could turn around and reuse in their apartment (So much wedding stuff goes straight to the trashcan afterwards). They also wanted the wedding to be reflective of BOTH their styles and personalities equally.
“Ethan really wanted to be involved in EVERY aspect of the wedding planning (he even created his own Pinterest to get ideas for the boutonnieres, bridesmaid/groomsmen outfits, the wine barrel beer bins!), which sadly is one part of wedding planning that gets overlooked- the groom’s style & opinion!”
“The ceremony included a lovely exchange of hand written vows and as a gesture of unity the bride and groom assembled a wine box that they filled with items from the wedding day, letters from their parents, letters from each other and a bottle of wine they purchased on the day they got engaged. They plan on displaying the box on their mantle and opening it on every anniversary to remember their special day.”
“DIY Projects were a bug part of Ethan and Angela’s wedding and they had lots of help form friends and family! Their beautiful invitations were designed by their friend Erin Dewey of the Flor Amarilla Etsy shop and were put together by the bride, the groom and an assembly line of friends who helped fold, stitch, paste, stamp and hand address! Their friends Erin also helped them complete the lovely bunting used on the reception tables, while Angela hand painted all the chalkboard signage. Erin also covered a large “E” and “A” cutouts in orange yarn to give the reception barn a bright pop of color!”
“The couple’s rustic dessert table was so amazing and looked like a piece of art! The ladies at Zest it Up did an awesome job, working with the bride on finding the right objects and re-purposed items for the rustic table. They also had their minister help them bottle their own beer for the wedding, they jokingly called it Modern Monks Brew, and all the guests got a big kick out of it. Plus, it was really good Belgian style craft beer!”
