Rustic Purple and Gold Wedding Inspiration

It was one of the hottest days in the Spring in Winnetka, Illinois. We put together this styled shoot in the beautiful grounds of the newly renovated Winnetka Community House, a historic Tudor Revival style structure in Chicago’s North Shore.

Inspired by their gorgeous gardens with its brick brownstones and luscious greeneries, Michelle and Yasmin Photography, with the help of Savvy Rose Events, pieced together an overall look where rustic meets luxury. From the golden table settings and lanterns to the lush purple table runner, BJJ Linens and Boho Blush made the perfect combination for this design. Add them to the charming farm table, wooden chair and wine barrel and you’ll get a feast for your eyes. Courtesy of Style and Grace Events, the florals were made up of white and purple roses, succulents, dusty millers, brunia silvers and eucalyptus providing that soft look.

The cake, a simple 4-tier in mauve and ivory fondant, was adorned with delicate sugar flowers which included roses, sweet peas, succulents and dusty miller leaves, all expertly handcrafted with bean paste by The Quintessential Cake. Emery Ann Designs gifted us with her elegant stationery incorporating purple and green florals and classic script font that screams romance.

Our beautiful bride wore stunning novelty lace gown from Honey Bridal. Her romantic look was completed by Manifest Makeup and hair by Gia Tovar.

PS: Our models are actually a real couple who has been married for 10 years (going on 11)! They already have 2 young, beautiful kids. They have always expressed regret of not having enough time for outdoor portraits for their wedding and wanted to have an anniversary session to make up for it. A simple anniversary session turned into a full blown styled shoot and they couldn’t be more happy with how the day turned out! We were all thankful for our wonderful vendors who made this special for our couple. It was such a great experience, despite the record heat of Spring in Chicago.
