Bride’s Comments: “From the moment we got engaged we knew we wanted a smaller wedding. Both of us aren’t very showy people and become very anxious when too much attention is on us.
“The only problem was that we both came from a very large family. So since an intimate 50 person wedding was impossible without insulting many people, we opted for an elopement! The idea was perfect for us.
“We wanted to live in the moment, and not get overwhelmed or bicker over planning. We knew it could be romantic, intimate and tailored to whatever we wanted the day to be… and that’s exactly what our day was to us. Getting ready together at the Bowery was non-traditional, yet very sweet and gave us a sense of normalcy on what could be a stressful day for brides. I needed that lol.
“The ceremony was beautiful and meaningful with just our immediate families being present. It was important for us to enjoy each moment together and not be distracted by saying hello to 200+ people or already being exhausted from the day by the time we ate. So after documenting our most precious moments with you, which was a blast, we celebrated with drinks and delicious food at Cecconi’s in Dumbo Brooklyn.
“After lunch, everyone went home and we headed back to Manhattan as husband and wife to do whatever we wanted in the best city in the world! We couldn’t of had wished for anything better.”
