Wedding Story
Bride’s Comments: “We met through friends! Our first date was on May 1st 2014. We decided to meet at Stone Arch Brew Pub for a drink and dinner. We met for dinner again a week later at Houdini’s Gastro Pub.
“Our relationship started with great conversation and time spent together meeting each other’s friends at cookouts and start of summer gatherings! We hit it off quickly! Fast forward to the summer of 2016 when we moved into the new home we built together!
“And a few short months later on Feb. 10th 2017 Neil proposed to me in the heart of our home in the kitchen right before we had planned on going to dinner that friday night at the place we liked to go back to where we first met – Stone Arch!
“Neil made a collar for our dog (Reese) to wear with the ring dangling. It took a minute to see the ring, and once I did he took it off from around Reese’s neck and got down on one knee!!!
“Our First Look was amazing and one of my favorite parts of the day!! It almost felt like those first date flutters all over again!! Including our fur baby was so special for us.
“All those months not letting Neil know what my dress looked liked and him finally being able to see it was so fun! His eyes looking at me in that moment was so loving and felt so good.
“Our big day really started at that moment and everything after that seemed to be a little easier and eased the nerves a little more.
What are your favorite memories from your wedding?
- We each were able to spend that morning with some of our favorite people that were standing up in our wedding and for me my friends from my salon that came to help us get ready and beautiful for the big day!
- I can say walking down the isle was one of the most unique feelings, a rush of excitement and love and happiness, some nerves, but most of all I couldn’t wait to stand up front with Neil! That is a feeling I’ll hold on to forever!
- Neil and I both loved doing the ‘First Look’ and felt that it really was a nice time to spend those moments before the ceremony together alone. We both felt a little more at ease after that.
- The speeches were so great! Our friends and family are so amazing and we feel so lucky to have them!
- I remember during dinner we took a little time to look around and seeing all our friends and family together all in the same room at the same time was such a warming feeling….I really loved that!
- A couple times throughout the night Neil and I took a few moments together alone to check-in which seemed to help slow down the day a little…those were nice moments!
- Pictures went just how I hoped!! You were so efficient and I really think that went amazing! It was my favorite that we had our dog Reese stand by Neil’s side and I was able to walk towards them both for our first look! Love that so much!
- We had so much fun during the dance and had a full dance floor until almost mid-night begging the DJ to play “One more Song, One more Song!!” It was super fun!
We really loved our entire day, and I could list so many more things!
