How did you pick your ceremony location?
Bride’s Comments: “My now husband actually proposed to me at La Caille, so that was part of the reason. Honestly though, it’s just the prettiest venue in town and it is pretty hard to beat the scenery and landscaping surrounding the venue.”
Describe your bridal attire?
“The dress I wore was designed by Cosmobella. For my bridesmaids we actually ordered the dresses online from Tully and Chantilly, which is a company in China. I was nervous, but they turned out great and the quality was even better. The neat thing is that you can pick any color for about 50 different styles of dresses and they make them to the girl’s exact measurements.”
Describe your groom’s attire?
“He bought his suit from KOHLS. Mark Anthony has a great clothing line that is for slim fit. He then rented the vest, shirt and tie from Tuxedo Junction.”
Did you do a first look before the ceremony?
“Yes, we did and I am really glad that we did. It was a chance to get most of the tears and jitters out before being in public. It was great to take some pictures and capture that first moment with each other.”
What was your favorite ceremony memory?
“When the groom tried to put my ring on during the ring exchange and it wouldn’t go on. My hand was so hot and sweaty and the just kept turning and turning. I finally had to push it on myself. This made for a good laugh for everyone watching. But on a more serious note, the minute he choked up during his vows is when I realize how much he loves me and how he meant every single word.”
Where did you get the inspiration for your color palette and design?
“I love eggplant purple (Aubergine to be exact) and light gray.”
Anything you wish you hadn’t worried about?
“Yes, the guests. Worrying for a week about the numbers and who would show and who wouldn’t was stressful. At the end of the day there will always be people who RSVP and don’t show up and vice versa. It will all happen as it’s supposed to. But boo on those that stand you up!”
Your favorite moment of the day?
“The ceremony. It was perfect and although there were 150 people watching us, it felt like just the two of us up there.”
How did you choose your vendors?
“Went to a few bridal shows, referrals, internet, etc.”
Tell us the moments you loved, cried, laughed or giggled
“The dance with my dad was and will forever be a moment I cherish. He had a friend sing a song live called I loved her first. If you haven’t heard it, you should and be prepared to bawl like a baby.”
