There’s a lot to love about today’s featured wedding at Chateau Elan in Georgia. The couple (Shannon and Philip) certainly embraced the saying go big or go home – vast winery estate as their wedding playground, cascading greenery bridal bouquet, 20 bridal party members, giant vaulted atrium for the ceremony, AND a magnificent bridal veil to top it all off!

Things to look for

  • I love a good grand staircase entrance!
  • Under the veil shots continue to work really well. I just love the intimate nature of the photo below. To pull this off, you’ll need to plan to go with a lengthier bridal veil. Give us a shout over at Classic Veils and we’ll be happy to sort you out with whatever length is required!

Photographer’s Remarks: “Shannon and Philip met through their jobs – they were both teaching at the same high school, and the rest is history!

“They decided to have a destination wedding near Shannon’s parent’s lake home at the Chateau Elan Winery, just outside of Atlanta, GA. The ceremony took place in the grand atrium with vaulted glass ceiling. And, they transformed the ballroom with fabric draping and dramatic lighting.

“Shannon is never caught without her sunglasses, so she decided why should it be any different on her wedding day. They had specialty sunglasses made up for the wedding party to wear in photos and for the guests at the reception.”
