Wedding Story
We’re sticking with the winter snow again today, after yesterday’s provocative Pennsylvania bridal shoot. Plus, How could we not feature an engagement shoot from Vancouver, Canada!?
I remember visiting Van Dusen Gardens perhaps 8 years ago, it was Christmas season and snow had fallen during a particular cold spell on the West Coast. The feeling was simply magical. I certainly know that capturing a sunny, snowy day in Vancouver is a beautiful experience, as any snow that does fall rarely sticks or stays long enough for a photo shoot such as the one below.
Anu looks sharp dressed in a grey suit with black dress shirt, while I adore Kuninda’s brilliant dress color set against the backdrop of fresh powder snow!
Photographer’s Remarks
“More than eight years ago in India, Kuninda and Anu met while attending high school together. Shortly afterward, they parted ways and migrated to opposite ends of the Earth, him to Canada, and her to Australia. The couple, however, always managed to maintain their loving relationship over the years, although long distance.
“The end of the 2016 brought exciting news of Kuninda and Anu’s engagement for their families, and a few short days after, the couple met with us for their engagement photo session.
“The initial plan had been to photograph the couple at one of the most scenic locations in Vancouver – Sea-To-Sky Gondola. Howver, adverse weather conditions left the couple disappointed and without a location. Thinking fast, we looked to the snow that prevented us from going through with our initial plans.
“Luckily, early 2017 brought a fresh snowfall that had covered the Vancouver City parks entirely. Few weeks ago we were lucky to photograph snow engagement of Natalia and Nick at Queen Elizabeth Park. This time we decided to stop at Van Dusen Botanical Garden, and it proved to be a fantastic choice.
“The trees were frosted with white powder that was sparkling under the mid sky’s sun and contrasting the bride in bright red. Now, we at Karizma Photography are preparing for our next engagement session, but we can’t help but keep Kuninda and Anu’s Winter Engagement Vancouver in our memories as they excitingly plan their upcoming wedding in India, while finally enjoying their long-awaited life together.”
