Wedding Story
Photographer’s Comments: “Ross was Theresa’s first true friend when she first moved to Atlanta for graduate school six years ago. She is from a small town in upstate NY. Ross wasn’t the typical guy she was used dating but there was just something about him that felt really familiar to her; the corny jokes, the gentle smile, and his overall kindness and caring towards those he loved made her heart open for him. In a lot of ways, he reminded her a lot of her dad who they lost to cancer just 2 years prior to her moving.”
“Ross proposed when they were hiking in the Kennesaw Mountain. He pulled her aside in a open field away from their usual path and led her underneath one of the large trees. In her mind she started imagining the horror movies she had seen. She begin really painting the “romance” by telling Ross of how this field reminded her of a scene in a movie where two people are basically going out in a field that looks very much like this, then the one clubs the other over the head with a brick. LOL! He nudged her out of her story and got down on one knee and proposed.
“Their wedding day was full of vintage flair. With the bride’s vintage earrings, to the vintage cake topper. They both have a respect for all things vintage and the stories each hold. Theresa and Ross also added some DIY projects to their day. The wreath that hung from the barn was one of them.
“The day itself was gorgeous! There was a nice steady breeze that filled the air. And, beautiful puffy clouds in the sky. Both sides of their family were so excited for them, and it showed how much they are loved and cared for. I loved the way Theresa honored her father that had passed on. She had a memory table at the ceremony, so he could be there with them.
“They booked their honeymoon in one of my favorite places, Charleston, SC.”
