Photographer’s Remarks: “A year ago, Justin and Alexis got married in what could be described as one of the most beautiful and romantic boho wedding that Palm Springs has ever seen. It seemed only fitting that on their first anniversary, we celebrate their love with a beautifully styled shoot at Joshua Tree’s newest wedding venue: Dream Catcher Ranch.
“Since Justin + Alexis are such adventurers, we wanted to showcase their love for traveling with several accent pieces including antique globes and suitcases, a compass, and passport.
“We wanted to create a vintage feel to their table, coupling gold accent place settings with a candelabra and floral decor.
“The vanilla bean dream naked cake was a work of art, complete with edible Rolkem gold dust, topped with fresh blueberries, blackberries, and assorted bits of fresh ferns and eucalyptus.
“Alexis’s hair was delicately styled into a soft, low bun and she wore a gorgeous floral crown complete with soft pink and deep red mini roses, fresh blueberries and ferns.
“The venue, Dream Catcher Ranch, just opened this fall in Joshua Tree, California. With one house and a smaller cabin sitting on five acres amongst the jumbo rocks and beautiful desert vistas, this venue is an eclectic and artistically designed. It was still under partial construction at the time of our shoot there, but it’s definitely a one-of-a-kind property!
