Wedding Story
Just like many of the other couples in the world Kyler and Andrew had a bit of a struggle with their wedding. Due to covid-19 and put a big strain on their wedding day and them having to reschedule several times. Just like any other photographer, I pride myself on helping my couples to the best of my ability. In this case, I rescheduled Kyler and Andrew’s wedding to their new Wedding Date free of charge of course while also covering their “ covid wedding”.
Kyler and Andrew’s covid wedding was awesome but in my opinion, not as awesome as their actual wedding day. I think they would agree. They’re both amazing people and I love getting to know them over the time that we share together during their engagement, covid wedding, and the actual wedding. Now onto the good stuff.
Kyler and Andrew chose to do a first look on their wedding day which I absolutely love. It tends to give less stress to our couples whenever they decide to do a first look. However, if they do decide to keep things traditional I enjoy that as well. I like being a guide and letting them know the pros and cons of both and leaving the choice up to my couple to decide what is best for them. The warehouse they got ready at the end was amazing. There were four floors that had their own unique personality. I shot in just about every room that the warehouse had to offer.
After we left the warehouse we headed over to the Saint Louis Art Museum but we here in St Louis call it Art Hill. I captured some amazing images in front of the art museum by a line of trees that have all the Fall colors you could possibly want. We walked from the top of Art Hill down to the bottom to get the amazing shot of the art museum in the background.
Once we left the art museum we went to a few other places that allowed me to capture Kyler and Andrew alone. We went to Kiener Plaza which again had some amazing colors in the trees due to the fall coloring and we went to a little spot in front of the arch to capture that amazing archview.
We then headed over to the venue. The location is an amazing place called Neo on Locust. They happened to book the upstairs area. They had some amazing windows with a gorgeous sunset. We also got rooftop access which overlooks the city of St Louis with again the arch in the background.
The wedding was indoor and we captured amazing images of the entire wedding party in Kyler and Andrew’s during the ceremony. After that, they had the traditional reception where everyone danced and had a great time. You could tell that everyone in Kyle & Andrews party have been waiting a long time to celebrate with them.
Love the photo ideas especially the photo with bride and groom playing some table soccer!
