Farm Chic Wedding at Millcreek Barn, Michigan
This “farm chic wedding” really had us from the moment we laid eyes on it. Mismatched bridesmaid dresses, a country feel and DIY bride are all up our alley!
Here is what Leah had to say about her day: “The bride wore white. And the groom wore…cowboy boots.” From the moment I got the vintage-inspired ring that Dan had made especially for me, all I could think about was planning a wedding that perfectly represented the both of us – Dan, a Michigan boy who grew up on a cherry farm, and me, an advertising gal from Chicago. What resulted was a beautiful mix of rustic features with elegant accents, which I’ve been calling Farm Chic.”
“An old barn, turned into an event space lined with gorgeous feminine flowers. A pastel color palette of mint green, peach, coral, blush and light gray perfectly brought to life the mid-summer wedding. Burlap tablecloths with vintage fabric and lace overlays on every table.”
“We put thought into every single detail and can honestly say it was a day we’ll never forget. I’m lucky that Pinterest was invented before our wedding date. I discovered it about halfway through the planning process for our burlap and lace themed wedding and it was such a miracle to be able to pin ideas during moments of delirium at 2:00 AM and have them be waiting for me in the morning. And what do you know? The wedding turned out even better than we could have ever dreamed up online! All thanks to a little elbow grease, a lot of creativity and the help of almost everyone you see in the pictures!”
