DIY Wedding at Red Cedar Farm
We are super excited to be starting the week and December off with a beautiful DIY wedding at Red Cedar Farm with an amazing ceremony backdrop! All of their beautiful details were photographed by the ever so fabulous Jagger Photography.
Here is what Alyssa said about her wedding:
“We were living & working in Alaska during our engagement so wedding planning didn’t really get started until we moved home in May. Which gave me a little over 3 1/2 months to make vision into a reality. I went to countless garage sales, thrift stores, & antique shops all in search of wedding details. I collected things like: baskets, glassware, napkins & other random items. I would wash everything, put them totes and forget about what I had bought. When the time came to sort everything, I couldn’t believe all the ‘treasures’ I had found.”
Wedding Venue
“The venue itself had a lot of charm built in, so I didn’t have to worry too much about decor! I was able to use the owners old buckets, blue mason jars, antique crib for presents, suitcase for cards, and all her old wooden tables. I cannot say enough nice things about the venue and especially about the owner – Andrea. We booked the venue without seeing it, but I knew it was exactly what we were looking for! The game room full of vintage pinball machines really sold my husband! 🙂 It is beautifully decorated with planters, hanging baskets, and antiques everywhere you look.”
“My favorite detail was our ceremony backdrop. It was a last minute craft project and truly a group effort!”
Advice for Future Brides
“Don’t stress yourself out when planning! It can get overwhelming but remember to have fun with it. There are amazing resources out there designed to help you. If you are DIY bride then host a craft night. My family & friends were beyond helpful. I couldn’t have done all the projects I did if it wasn’t for late night craft parties! Savor every moment of your day. It will go by SO fast. All of the build up, months of planning, and before you know it, the day is over!”

Meredith
Despite her dreamy wedding blogger lifestyle, Meredith's day job is running ClassicVeils.com and a full-time mom to an active toddler. If she could, Meredith would spend her days taking cruises, helping animals in need, and watching Big Brother!
What a fabulous job they did on the DIY projects, well done!
Love the vintage decor and simplicity of the affair; very pretty!
