Peach and Pine Styled Shoot
“OMG” is the first thing that I said when I saw this peach and pine styled shoot. I always think of peach as a summer fruit, and never thought of putting it with a fall/winter wedding. Put peach and pine are now on my list of favorite decor items!
Here is what Made to be Mine had to say: “This styled shoot is my first: the first time I’ve taken TOTAL creative control of a shoot, my ideas, my style, my vision. The colors were my jumping point. Growing up a JCrew girl, sometimes colors in my mind have ridiculous names. Mine took on a physical meaning. Peach is a color, my favorite this season, but the fruit was where my brain went. Then the compliment of pine came to me…that deep hunter green and those crisp fall smells. I guess you can say I like nature, and FOOD! Somehow, in the middle of all this, the peach became the bride and the pine became the groom! So, I styled it accordingly.”
“For some reason I knew I wanted a girl with red hair – gorgeous red hair. I contacted an acquaintance from years past (who is S T U N N I N G) about her and her husband being in the shoot and she wholeheartedly agreed! I found a location in between our respective homes that was an amazing local forest preserve!
“The dress was actually borrowed from a local bridal store where a good friend of mine works. I knew I wanted something with lace so she showed me a couple of pieces. When I saw that off-the-shoulder look, I was sold. It turns out that the dress fit my “bride” like a glove. How awesome!
“The suit for the groom was a thrift jacket and vintage tie. The bridesmaids/groom outfits were pieces I collected, from Ruche, target and Etsy – my favorite places to shop.
“The bride’s other pieces included her hair and the necklace. The hair piece I actually made myself, and the necklace is from my favorite local shop – Relic’s in Peoria.
“The flowers are collected wildflowers from the fields of Illinois I love the soft look of what the world technically calls “weeds”. The boutonnieres were made with pieces of pine, weeds, magnolia leaves, and bouclé yarn.”
