Tara and Lance’s Wedding
What better way to wrap up the week than a beautiful wedding full of jaw-dropping details, right? Tara and Lance’s big day was shot by W.Scott Chester Photography. We love everything from the florals to the darling programs and CD favors. Here is what Tara had to say about her special day: We knew that we both wanted to have a relaxed and fun wedding that really captured who we were as a couple. After looking at several venues in and around Atlanta, we fell in love with the stunning Vinewood Plantation in Newnan, Ga. With such a naturally beautiful venue, we were able to focus on the smaller, personal details. I spent a lot of time on etsy and pinterest purchasing supplies and planning out projects. We did tons of research and hired vendors who are experts in their craft and who we had no doubt would carry out our vision. We incorporated as many personal elements as possible that paid homage to our southern roots while still ‘being us’ – my uncle was the officiant and we got married in front of a huge pecan tree that reminded me of my late grandmother who always had several pecan trees in her yard while I was growing up.
Taqueria Del Sol is one of our favorite restaurants (we eat there once a week) so we had their catering arm, Sol Catering, provide the food…a mix of southern and mexican, including a taco bar, fried chicken and blue cheese grits…we even had hibiscus margaritas and spiked sweet tea as our signature drinks styled by the creative and talented LeaAnn of Southern Flair; with mason jar name tags crafted by my father and I. We both love music and chose to create a mixed CD to give as favors. Rustic Charlie was as equally amazing as they were accommodating and everyone had a great time dancing the night away under the stars
If I were to give a bride any advice it would be to forget what you think you are ‘supposed’ to do or have at your wedding and do what is meaningful to you and your fiancé. If you do that, it will be absolutely perfect.
Tara and Lance did such a great job of staying true to themselves and making sure their wedding was full of personal, meaningful touches. Speaking of which…(what a perfect segue) we wrote a guest post today for Wayfair’s blog! It’s all about incorporating your personal style so your wedding reflects you as a couple–and stays in your budget. Aileen included pictures of her wedding and her own experiences with planning, plus some of our favorite tips! Check it out here.
