Brides in Oxfords

Last Updated: September 23rd, 2022/12 CommentsTopic: WEDDING FASHIONby Meredith

Last week, we featured a sweet wedding in which the bride wore an adorable pair of oxfords, and ever since then we’ve been obsessing over brides in oxfords. So super cute, and a more practical option for an outdoor wedding (and for dancing the night away) than a pair of heels.

Turquoise bridal oxford shoes with bowPin

We love the shade of blue on these shoes, and how the laces are a little more special. You could dress up any pair by using ribbon or lace instead of plain old shoelaces! via this wedding (doesn’t the bride look way cute in them too, below?)

A sparkly pair or a floral pair would be especially perfect for a wedding!

Oxfords have such a vintage appeal, especially in pale pink like the ones this bride found. via Ruffled

What do you think of this trend? Are oxfords wedding-worthy–and more importantly, would you wear a pair for your own wedding?

TIP: Save THIS PIN to your Wedding Ideas board on Pinterest and get back to this post later.
If you’re looking for a more practical option for your outdoor wedding (or for dancing the night away), consider wearing a pair of Oxfords instead of heels. We’re loving this trend! Check out the blog for more details!Pin

I am wearing the very top one pictured… the ivory and mint green… I wore them for my graduation from University. Now I am wearing a pair of Sam Edelman oxfords… ivory, mint, and powder blue with yellow ribbons for the laces… I love oxfords… and have quite a few different pairs and were set on them for my wedding shoes… and while I tried on others I have always come back to them as my number one choice… they are funky, fun, and very classic.

I just got a pair of ivory cutout oxfords from Urban Outfitters that I am thinking of wearing! Not sure if they go with my princess-y dress, but I’m gonna try it out…
