Pretty in Pink: Steamboat Springs Wedding at Flying Diamond Ranch

Photographer’s Comments: “Sam & Davey were married at the most beautiful, picturesque place I had seen only once before … in my dreams! Flying Diamond Ranch, a visual masterpiece with sweeping views of mountains and aspen trees was the perfect setting for their Colorado wedding.

“Mother Nature brought the heat with lightning and thunder and a downpour of rain. The result, however, was a gorgeous rainbow and the most amazing light.

“They added a Victorian feel to their wedding with pearls dripping from the center pieces, lace accents, and antique china. When I asked if there was a story behind the china, Sam said her mom and sisters had been collecting it at various antique shops during the course of their engagement. Each and every guest had a unique place setting – brilliant and nothing short of perfection! The centerpieces were absolutely gorgeous as they used pink china tea kettles as vases filled with cream and pink roses.

“Adding to the beauty of the day was Sam in her backless lace dress. It is no wonder Davey was brought to tears at their first look. He wasn’t the only one with tears. I couldn’t stop welling up all day! Witnessing their love for each other during the vows was so beautiful and intense that there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd of guests.”
